Participation and Data Notice

Purpose. This cohort supports pastoral longevity by offering biblical grounding, peer encouragement, and practical tools.

The cohort “Leaders That Last” is part of a research project conducted by Pastor Alan Beauchamp as part of his doctoral program at AGTS (Assemblies of God Theological Seminary).

The purpose of this project is to explore how intentional theological reflection and practical support systems can strengthen pastoral health and promote long-term ministry effectiveness. It is my hope that you will benefit by engaging with biblical insights, reflective exercises, and peer discussion that foster personal renewal and leadership resilience.

You will be asked to complete a Pre-Cohort Survey before the first session and a Post-Cohort Survey and short written reflection at the end of the final session. These tools will help me evaluate the outcomes of the four-month Longevity Cohort, which consists of six one-hour online sessions held from January through April. Sessions will include teaching, reflection, and guided discussion focused on the themes of pastoral longevity and ministry health.

What’s asked of you. Attend sessions and complete a short pre-cohort survey and a post-cohort survey. The event will take approximately four months, with about six hours of session time plus 30–40 minutes total for survey participation and written reflection.

Voluntary participation. Participation is voluntary, and you are free to stop participating at any time; doing so will in no way harm your relationship to me, the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, or the Southern Missouri Ministry Network.

Confidentiality. Survey data will be reported in aggregate in reports or publications. Identifiable information will not be published.

Data handling. Registration + survey responses are stored securely and accessed only by the project lead for scheduling, communication, and evaluation.

Any information obtained in connection with the cohort or surveys that can be identified with you will remain confidential and only aggregate data will be presented in reports or publications. Data will be stored securely in password-protected files accessible only to the researcher and faculty supervisor.

Risks/benefits. Minimal risk (time, reflective questions). Anticipated benefits include encouragement, clarity, and practical strategies for long-term ministry.
